Who Is Jesus?

>> Tuesday, December 22, 2009

Mt. 11:4,5 Jesus answered and said to them "Go and tell John the things you hear and see: The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them."
John the Baptist was a great man of God. Jesus said of John, "born among women there is none greater than John the Baptist." And yet John sent two disciples to ask Jesus, "Are you the coming One, or do we look for another?" Jesus didn't answer that question, instead He said, "Tell John the things you hear and see."
Jesus was healing the blind, lame, deaf, leprosy, and raising the dead! John said, Who are you? Jesus said, "This is what I do!" In other words, if you want to know who Jesus is, just look at the miracles! Jesus said in John 5:36, But I have a greater witness than John's; for the works the Father has given Me to finish, the very works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father has sent Me." So the conclusion? The answer to who Jesus is, is wrapped up in what He does! Blessings!!

You sow by giving but you reap by speaking

>> Thursday, December 3, 2009

Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
When we give our money, we are actually "sowing" our money. The principle is,if we give it will come back to us.
Gal. 6:7 says, "Whatsoever we sow, that shall we also reap." If the farmer went out everyday and dug up the seed he planted, he would never have a harvest. That is the same as if you and I speak negative words over the seed that we have sown. We must trust what God said in His Word. That is, If I give it will come back to me! So I speak that positive confession over the seed I have sown. Try it and you will see how amazing it is! Blessings!!

Faith Is Not A Leap Into Darkness But A Walk In The Light

>> Tuesday, November 10, 2009

1 John 1:6-7
If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
Someone once said, "It's not how high you jump that counts, but how far you walk when you land." I think that is very true!
The Bible says the just shall live by faith. Question? Is your faith moving your mountain or is your mountain moving your faith? God doesn't expect us to walk blindly into the situations of life. He wants us to use wisdom in most decisions we make. Many times we run out ahead of God, get into trouble and then blame Him for our bad situations.
Faith is having God and then doing what He said and depending on Him to see it through. It is not being presumptuous and moving out ahead of Him and asking Him to bless what you are doing. Make sure you follow His Word and not yours! Blessings!!

Live His Life!!

>> Friday, October 30, 2009

Luke 6:38 says
"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
We make a living by what we earn; we make a Life by what we give! How sad it would be to go through life just making a living. But honestly, many Christians do just that.
The Bible is very clear here that if I live a life of giving then He will create His Life in me! Do you know that we pretty much determine how much of the blessing we are going to receive from God?
All we have to do is live a giving life and He will do the rest! I learned this very early on in my walk with Jesus. The speed of your harvest is always based on the speed of your obedience. He came to give me Life Abundantly, not just enough to make a living, but Life!
Life to the full, til it overflows, nothing missing, nothing broken! So start building and living your life and not just working for a living! Blessings!!

Faith and Works

>> Friday, October 16, 2009

James 2:17-18
Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Faith is not much without works ( actions of obedience). In fact, the Word says that faith is dead. That is a strong word isn't it? Dead literally means nekk'os=corpse. That means that the body is still there but there is no life in it. It is inactive and inoperative. You see, faith represents our heart attitude- works, or actions, represent character and these combined produce the will of God in our lives.
The Bible says, "without faith it is impossible (without strength, impotent, powerless, weak and disabled) to please God." Now watch this... but if I please Him by my works then He rewards me. He is a rewarder!
That means He is the One who returns goods to me for things done! Rewards may consist of money, goods or any return of kindness and happiness. Isn't God good?
I want to please Him and He wants to please me! Think about it!

The Means Of Cleansing Sin Is The Blood, The Method Is Confession

>> Saturday, October 3, 2009

Heb. 9:22 " And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission."
Rom. 10:9-10 " that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Salvation is really simple. It is not complicated. Man has made it complicated by adding their own ideas to salvation. But Bible salvation is so easy to attain.
Col. 1:14 says"In Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins." Verse 20 says, "..having made peace through the blood of His cross." Cleansing from your sin comes through the blood but the method God uses is confession.
How sad it is when man gets involved in God's free gift of salvation and turns it into a set of religious rules. They say you can't be saved unless......! You have heard it all before because most of us have come from some form of religious background, but thank God we have Jesus through a relationship! Don't you love Him?
Today you can rest in His finished work on calvary. Be blessed!!

Fruit Producing

>> Thursday, September 24, 2009

James 5:16 "The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
Look at the phrase, "avails much." Avails means; having force and value. Much means; great in number, quantity, and amount.
James is saying if you pray fervently (hot and intense) prayer, then you will avail much (have great Force, Value, and Favor). In other words, you will be dripping with fruit! That is the will of God for all of us. We are to be fruitful people producing more and more fruit in our lives. The is nothing more disappointing to God than to have a people with so much potential and yet not producing fruit.
Her it is! John 15:16 says, " You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain (and if you do) whatever you ask the Father in My name, He may give you."
Do you see that? Your fulfillment is in your fruitfulness!! Go for it! Prayer can really be awesome!! Be blessed!
